5 Big Mistakes We Make When Cleansing Our Face!
In today's blog post we clear up myths about cleansing. Because the right cleansing makes you glow!

In today's blog post we would like to clear up some myths about facial cleansing. A little soap & water and that's it? Unfortunately not… Because there is much more to facial cleansing and we will tell you why it is so important and essential for your skin.
1. Cleansing wipes and/or soap are enough, aren't they?
Often heard, but far from true! Cleansing wipes contain a lot of bad alcohols that dry out your skin in the long run and draw important moisture from it. Ordinary soap can attack and almost destroy your hydrolipid film. Because soap has a pH value between 9 and 12, so it is strongly alkaline. The acid mantle of our skin, which protects our skin and provides it with important moisture, can be destroyed as a result.
2. Even better: water is perfectly enough, isn't it?
No, no and no. As great as water is and as much as we need it – because without water there is no life and without water no beautiful skin. But unfortunately water cannot remove sebum and oily dirt residues. A suitable cleanser should be part of your basic equipment. That is why you should definitely switch to cleansing milk, cleansing foam or gel here.
3. Do I need a tonic?
YES, YES and YES! Invest once in a good tonic and your skin will be deeply grateful to you. Because did you know that you can apply as much cream as you like – without a tonic it all does very little. The tonic removes any remaining dirt! Ever looked at the cotton pad after using a tonic? Then you know what we mean. 😀
Furthermore, after toning, the active ingredients that follow can penetrate deeper and better into your skin. We recommend the ROSE TONIC by BABOR – it smells wonderful, is invigorating and refreshing and calms the skin.
4. Only remove make-up if I've applied make-up?
An absolute no-go! Even if you don't wear make-up during the day, dirt, dust and microorganisms collect on our skin. They are not visible to us at first glance, but the skin suffers. So always remove your make-up thoroughly, and then nothing stands in the way of your well-deserved beauty sleep.
5. Exfoliating too often.
We shouldn't overdo it with exfoliating. 1-2 times a week is perfectly enough. Because if we “over-exfoliate” our skin, it can dry out and lead to inflammation. We recommend the sugar scrub by BABOR with nourishing argan oil. The scrub particles dissolve during the peel, so inflammation can be ruled out and the skin is exfoliated very gently.
So, dear readers, we can see that proper cleansing is essential. Because falling asleep with make-up on and without proper cleansing leads to red and blemished skin.
We will be happy to advise you personally and according to your type at our beauty institute. Because every skin is individual and needs tailored care.
