Microblading in Salzburg: What Real Clients Have to Say

Deciding on microblading is not always an easy decision - find out here what our client says

Microblading

Deciding on microblading is not always an easy decision for some people. If you have never had the treatment and are therefore not yet familiar with the microblading pen and the like, a (semi-)permanent make-up procedure can seem a little intimidating. Even though microblading is a somewhat more elaborate treatment, it does have beautiful results – so that you can hear about it first hand, we asked one of our clients how she experienced her microblading treatment with us.

Here is what she shared with us:

Permanent make-up and semi-permanent make-up aren't really my thing, because in the past I had only ever seen results that were pretty, but still looked quite made-up and a little artificial. My eyebrows are quite light and have become thinner and thinner in recent years, which is why I had been thinking about having them filled in for a while. I normally never wear much make-up, so the results of conventional permanent make-up procedures wouldn't have suited my face and, to be honest, would have looked quite out of place. I thought I would just have to do without full eyebrows. Until I came across so-called microblading on the internet, a treatment I had never heard of before that is supposed to have completely natural results.

While looking for beauty studios offering the procedure in Salzburg, I then came across the most beautiful on Instagram. After careful consideration, I decided to simply give them a call and find out more about the procedure. I felt so well advised that I immediately decided to make my microblading appointment.

On the day of my treatment I was a little nervous, but after the great initial consultation at the latest, all my worries were blown away. The ambience at the most beautiful is really lovely and extremely professional – I felt at ease straight away.

But now I want to tell you how the process works and how I experienced it!

Designing the eyebrows

First of all, I discussed with the beauty therapist what results I wanted from microblading. She advised me in detail on the arch, thickness, density and colour of my eyebrows and recommended what suits my type best. Using various aesthetic methods, such as the golden ratio, my face was then measured so that my future brows could be sketched harmoniously. The beauty therapist is a true perfectionist and kept refining the shape until we were both happy.

Time for microblading

Now that we had agreed on the shape, it was time for the actual microblading. Unlike other (semi-)permanent make-up procedures, microblading is done by hand rather than with a machine. Using a special pen or blade, each individual hair was worked into my top layer of skin. Very fine cuts are made, which then fill with pigment. Even if a treatment with a blade might sound painful at first, the procedure was very bearable and almost painless. On top of that, I felt completely at ease with my beauty therapist. In total, it took about 2 hours until my eyebrows were completely filled in.

Aftercare

Microblading is a procedure that requires proper aftercare, as the skin has to heal well. I was advised to avoid direct contact with water for the first few days and also to avoid the solarium, sauna and the like. The aftercare was explained to me in detail after the microblading was finished, and of course I conscientiously used the products I was given.

The healing process

In the days directly after my treatment, my brows looked quite a bit darker than I had expected. But my beauty therapist had already reassured me about this in advance: it is completely normal for the eyebrows to look more intense after microblading. During the healing process, up to 50% of the colour pigments fade. A crust also formed during this healing process. Even though I would have loved to remove the scab myself, I was expressly advised to please leave my new brows alone. The crust that forms is part of the healing, and interfering unnecessarily would only disrupt this process. That could of course have a negative effect on the final result.

First results

And lo and behold! The crust really did start to come off all by itself, and I could finally take a look at the preliminary result. As promised, my brows were now quite a bit lighter than directly after the microblading. I was now finally allowed to gently clean my brows with water again and felt really good.

Touch-up

At the preliminary consultation for my microblading treatment, I was advised to have a touch-up four to six weeks after the first session, in which faded pigments are strengthened again and fine details are added. Once my healing process was more or less complete after about five weeks, I scheduled my second appointment. At this second session, my beauty therapist analysed exactly how my new brows had healed. To my delight, the regeneration process had gone very well. Then, as at the first appointment, the shape was sketched again and the touch-up and intensification could begin.

Conclusion

Several weeks after my second microblading appointment, my brows are now fully healed, the procedure is complete and I couldn't be happier! The result is so natural that nobody would guess my eyebrows have had a little help. My brows go perfectly with my face without make-up and are also ideal for a beautiful make-up look. As I like to wear a natural look, the individually worked-in hairs blend in perfectly. The colour also matches my natural hair colour really well. At the end of the procedure, I was told that microblading can last one and a half to two years. I already know that I will definitely book a touch-up appointment in the future. 😉

A big thank-you to the wonderful team at the most beautiful in Salzburg!
